What does "Being
Fit" mean to you?
Being Fit is a higher level of physical and mental
functioning.
Which depends upon
how well you know your body...
Did you know that your body is constantly learning? The
question is what have you been teaching it?
And how much stress
you are under.
External stress accumulates and is stored as muscle
tension. This stored tension eventually becomes aches and pains.
This combined with the "no pain, no gain" philosophy turns
most people off.
It does not have to be this way.
What
is the FitPath?
The FitPath is a holostic fitness and health program
designed from the philosophy that exercise is a means to improve
how you use and exert your body.
Using a balance of relaxation and stretching techniques
with strength and conditioning methods your FitPath is a progressive,
personal evolution developed from the needs and goals of your life.
Before entering into Sheldon's FitPath program I believed exercise
was something that was done for the basic reasons, health, looks,
feeling good. After working with Sheldon I am getting all of this
and more! I am developing my ability to remain calm during my always
stressful day as well as learning how to listen to my body! However,
the biggest surprise is the enjoyment I receive as I discover different
parts of my body as I improve my physical awareness. I highly recommend
Sheldon to anyone desiring more than just a traditional training
routine.

The First Step
Everyone has a physical comfort zone.
The majority of your day is spent in this zone because it is what
have gotten used too. The comfort zone is framed by two “modes”.
To the left we find the mode in which we deliberately relax our
bodies - releasing daily stress and tension. To the right is the
mode in which we exert our bodies to the extreme - increasing our
personal efficiency, strength and endurance.
Constant stress without a conscious relaxation practice
causes tension to accumulate in the muscles of the body. Eventually
the distance between these two modes shortens and all your body
knows is stress and tension.
Exercise by itself releases only surface layers of tension. You
may release stress during exercise but upon returning to your lifestyle
stress will continue to be stored. Remember, the body is always
learning!
The goal of the FitPath is to extend these two extremes &ndash
to increase overall health and provide for higher levels of function
that we call "being fit."
The first time I worked with Sheldon I recognized that I was
in the presence of someone who is a master at what he does. Within
the course of both my personal life and professional training I
have studied quite a number of body-based approaches to both growth
and exercise. Sheldon has developed a very unique approach, one
that integrates the best of all I have learned. I felt great benefit
after just one session - once more being able to feel and use the
relaxation in my body to strengthen myself. Thank you Sheldon I
look forward to great horizons...
